Kabul – The Afghanistan Islamic Emirate’s stance on Pakistan is very clear. The Emirate is committed that Afghan soil will never be used against any country. In particular, Afghan soil will never be used against neighboring Pakistan.
These remarks were made by Afghanistan Islamic Emirate deputy spokesperson Hamdullah Fitrat. He shared them in an exclusive interview with HTN Pashto’s correspondent.
Hamdullah Fitrat said there has been positive progress in recent political relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Hamdullah stated that both countries have improved ties. He emphasized that Pakistan and Afghanistan have upgraded diplomatic relations to the ambassador level. This, he said, is a big positive step for both neighboring nations.
He noted that Pakistan and Afghanistan have reached the conclusion that bilateral trade and economic ties must improve further.
He added that Pakistan and Afghanistan share regional interests. Both countries have common benefits in development projects and are cooperating in this area. He mentioned major projects like TAPI. He said Afghanistan has already started practical work on such projects.
Fitrat further said Afghanistan trades with the world through Pakistan. Therefore, both countries are working to strengthen bilateral trade relations.
Pointing to Afghan refugees’ problems in Pakistan, he said issues remain. Pakistan has promised Afghanistan it will resolve Afghan refugee problems. He added both countries also pledged to cooperate in trade and economic fields.
In response to a question, Fitrat reiterated Afghanistan stance on Pakistan is very clear.
Deputy spokesperson stressed the Islamic Emirate will never allow Afghan soil to be used against any country, especially Pakistan.
