Pakistan has firmly rejected baseless claims made by Indian leaders regarding Operation Sandur. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a formal statement in response to the heated debate in India’s Parliament, where several lawmakers hailed the military strike as a necessary action against terrorism.

Foreign Office Spokesperson Shafqat Khan stated, “Pakistan dismisses the Indian leadership’s provocative and unfounded remarks. These baseless claims reflect a dangerous pattern of escalating tensions without regard for truth or consequences.”

According to Khan, India launched its strike without presenting any credible evidence linking Pakistan to the Pahalgam attack. “Rather than sharing proof or initiating dialogue, India chose aggression,” he noted. The spokesperson confirmed that the strike resulted in civilian casualties, including women and children, in border areas.

Call for Accountability and Peace

Pakistan emphasized that the Indian government must accept responsibility for inflaming regional hostilities. “The global community is no longer swayed by political drama,” Khan said, adding that media and international observers are aware of the situation’s realities.

The statement reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace and cooperation. “We are ready to engage in constructive dialogue, but only if India abandons its policy of militarized posturing,” Khan added.

Meanwhile, Pakistan urged New Delhi to focus on de-escalation rather than fueling nationalist sentiment through misinformation. “Such tactics not only threaten peace but also undermine the credibility of international diplomacy,” said the spokesperson.

Pakistan also called upon the United Nations and global powers to take note of India’s actions and discourage unilateral military adventurism in South Asia.

The statement concluded by reaffirming Pakistan’s right to defend its sovereignty and protect its citizens. However, it stressed that dialogue and diplomacy should remain the preferred tools for resolving disputes.

In light of these developments, Islamabad has briefed its embassies worldwide and is preparing to raise the issue at various international forums.

Pakistan made it clear: peace cannot be built on baseless claims.
