Security Sweep in Bannu: Joint Operation by Police, Army, and CTD Underway

Bannu Police, Pakistan Army, and the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) launched an intelligence-based mission in the Norar area within the jurisdiction of Thana Miryan, Bannu.

Bannu – In a significant joint operation, Bannu Police, Pakistan Army, and the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) launched an intelligence-based mission in the Norar area within the jurisdiction of Thana Miryan, Bannu. The operation began early today and is ongoing with full momentum.

DIG Bannu Region Sajad Khan and DPO Bannu Saleem Abbas Kalachi are personally supervising the operation on-site. Multiple checkpoints have been established, and aggressive search-and-raid operations are being carried out against suspected hideouts.

Thanks to swift and coordinated action, many criminal elements have already fled the area. However, security forces continue targeted raids to track down and arrest those on the run.

Commitment to Lasting Peace


DIG Sajad Khan emphasized that Bannu will be cleared of miscreants at all costs. He assured the public that strict and indiscriminate action against lawbreakers will continue until lasting peace is restored. He further added that officers and personnel are alert, highly motivated, and fully prepared to respond to any situation.

The main objective of the operation is to rid the area of terrorist elements and ensure a safe and peaceful environment for residents. The presence of senior leadership has boosted troop morale and strengthened public trust.

Inspector General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police, Zulfiqar Hameed, praised the professional conduct of the Bannu Police and commended the teams for their dedication and courage.
