Dushanbe – Tajikistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed a cross-border, lethal, drone strike, launched out of Afghanistan, that killed three Chinese citizens, during the night of November 26, 2025.
It was an assault on an employee camp of the firm LLC Shohin SM, located in the Khatlon region of Tajikistan, adjacent to Afghanistan.
Fatal Drone Strike
The armed attack, the Ministry claimed, was executed by the use of an unmanned aerial vehicle (drone). Both grenades and firearms were said to be loaded into the drone, and this confirmed the level of sophistication and lethality of the operation. Three victims were all employees of LLC Shahin SM and Chinese citizens.
The Tajik side vehemently criticized the attack, describing it as an assault by the so-called criminal groups in the land of Afghanistan.
Call for Action from Afghan Authorities
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was alarmed by the repetitive cross-border destabilization, stating that such activities have continued even though Tajikistan has been busy trying to keep the border regions calm and peaceful.
Dushanbe, in an urgent address to the ruling government in Kabul, demanded:
“The Tajik side, expressing deep concerns, strongly condemns these acts of terrorist groups and calls on the ruling Afghan authorities to take effective measures to ensure stability and security on the state border between the two neighbouring countries.”
