Good news for Pakistani high school and university students aspiring to continue their education in Russia. The Russian University of Friendship of the Peoples (RUDN) has officially opened registration for the online stage of its Open Olympiad for foreign citizens, offering a pathway to free or discounted higher education under the Russian government quota.
According to the announcement, high school graduates and final-year university students are eligible to participate in the Olympiad. Winners will be granted the opportunity to study free of charge at RUDN through the Russian government’s education quota program.
Students who finish as runner-ups will also benefit significantly, as they will be eligible for substantial tuition fee discounts at RUDN. Additionally, runner-ups may still qualify for fully funded study places if quota seats remain available after the admission of Olympiad winners.
Interested applicants must complete their registration through the Olympiad’s official website and upload scanned copies of their passport or national ID, along with their educational diploma or certificate and the latest academic transcripts. Registered candidates will then be required to sit for an online test.
Those who successfully pass the test will be invited to take part in an individual interview, which forms the final stage of the selection process.
RUDN has advised students to consult the Olympiad’s official website for detailed guidelines and timelines. For further inquiries, applicants can directly contact the organizers via email at olymp@rudn.ru.
The initiative presents a valuable opportunity for Pakistani students to access internationally recognized education in Russia, either fully funded or at significantly reduced costs.
