Washington, DC – January 21, 2026 – Air Force One (VC-25A) carrying the President Trump en route to the World Economic Forum (WEF 26) in Davos, Switzerland, returned to Joint Base Andrews shortly after takeoff due to a minor electrical issue identified by the flight crew.
Out of an abundance of caution, the decision was made to return the aircraft safely to Andrews. The President Trump and his team are now scheduled to board a different plane to continue their journey to Switzerland.
No injuries or safety incidents have been reported, and officials confirmed that all security and safety protocols were fully followed during the turnaround.
