Web desk: Sources from a Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) PTI meeting revealed growing internal challenges as former Prime Minister Imran Khan underwent his medical check-up. The party faced confusion and disruption, affecting both leadership and supporters.

No leaders attended Khan’s check-up because Aleema Khan refused the government’s offer for doctors and senior PTI officials to be present. Insiders warned that continued disruptions could hurt both Khan and the party’s credibility.

MPAs were instructed to return and mobilise more supporters. However, protestors within KPK slowed their efforts. Leaders Achakzai and Raja Nasir stayed inside parliament instead of supporting the party outside.

Iqbal Afridi, tasked with controlling abusive language and provocative actions, stayed confined to the Parliamentary Lodges. His inaction made it appear that he ignored party instructions. Loud and demeaning trolls outside frustrated workers, and road closures inconvenienced the public.

Party insiders stressed that Barrister Gohar should make independent decisions without veto from anyone. They also warned that if PTI-aligned trolls remain uncontrolled, Sohail Afridi could rise as a controversial figure similar to Ali Amin Khan PTI 2.0.

The meeting emphasised legal action against anyone spreading false news about Khan’s health on behalf of the government. This includes claims that the former Prime Minister permanently lost his eyesight, as stated by the Chief Minister of KPK.

Observers say the turmoil highlights urgent leadership and organisational challenges. PTI must improve public mobilization, internal discipline and communication to restore confidence among workers and supporters.
