In a significant counterterrorism operation, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police, Elite Force, and the Counterterrorism Department (CTD) successfully neutralized three highly wanted terrorists in the rugged mountainous areas of Kabalgram. Security sources confirmed that the operation targeted some of the region’s most dangerous militants.

Among the deceased was Noor Islam, the leader of the terrorist group Fitnah Al-Khawarij, whose head carried a bounty of PKR 5 million. One of the militants reportedly detonated explosives on himself to avoid capture. During the intense operation, heavy gunfire was exchanged, resulting in the sacrifice of three brave police officers, identified as Maqbool Ahmed, Fida Hussain, and Saeed ur Rehman.

Strategic Significance

Defense experts highlight that the presence of these terrorists in Kabalgram confirms ongoing planning for major attacks. The operation is considered a crucial advancement in Pakistan’s counterterrorism strategy, effectively dismantling parts of the organized network of Fitnah Al-Khawarij.

The targeted group has previously been linked to attacks against Chinese nationals, underlining its operational reach and threat level. Analysts note that the operation demonstrates Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to national security and the valor of its security personnel. The sacrifices of the fallen officers serve as a reminder of the human cost in maintaining peace and stability against organized terror threats.

Authorities reaffirm that such coordinated, intelligence-driven operations will continue to ensure that militant networks are systematically dismantled and the safety of citizens and national interests is maintained.
