Islamabad — An unusual situation arose during the hearing of a case related to Iman Mazari and Hadi Chatha in an Islamabad court when a European diplomat was found present inside the courtroom.
The case under hearing reportedly involves allegations related to the glorification and promotion of terrorism. During the proceedings, the presiding judge took notice of the diplomat’s presence and inquired why he was taking an interest in a case involving such sensitive charges.
According to court sources, following the judge’s question and a brief exchange, the diplomat left the courtroom. After the incident, court proceedings continued as usual.
Sources stated that foreign diplomatic representatives sometimes attend court hearings to observe important or sensitive cases; however, no official statement was issued regarding this particular incident.
Further hearing of the case against Iman Mazari and Hadi Chatha has been scheduled for a later date. Legal experts say that the legal aspects of the case and the available evidence will be reviewed in upcoming hearings.
