The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has expressed regret over recent attacks on Iran by Israel and the United States, warning that the growing conflict could further destabilize the region. However, the official statement from Foreign office Spokesman,made no mention about the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader, a silence that has drawn attention from observers.
In its statement, the Afghan foreign ministry condemned violations of national sovereignty and territorial integrity. It also criticized attacks on land and airspace and the killing of civilians. The statement said the expansion of the conflict, including Iran’s strikes involving Gulf countries, was deeply concerning.
At the same time, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan called on all sides to stop military actions immediately. It urged countries involved to resolve their disputes through dialogue and diplomacy. Respect for sovereignty and peaceful engagement were described as the only way to prevent the crisis from spreading further.
However, despite addressing the wider conflict, the statement avoided any reference to the reported killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader. This omission is notable given the leader’s central role in Iran’s political and religious system. Analysts say such silence may reflect caution as regional tensions remain high.
