Quetta – March 2, 2026- The National Paigham-e-Amn Committee (NPAC) held a press conference in Quetta, outlining a comprehensive vision for sustainable peace, religious harmony, and national unity in Balochistan.

Emphasis on Religious Consensus and Effective Governance

Speakers stressed that long-term peace and stability in Balochistan depend on credible religious consensus, effective governance, and a comprehensive strategy to counter violent extremism. They noted that security operations alone cannot ensure stability unless accompanied by social cohesion and ideological clarity.

The committee highlighted the importance of strengthening public trust and promoting a unified national narrative to prevent extremist recruitment and radicalization.

United Religious Leadership Across All Schools of Thought

Prominent scholars, including Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi and Mufti Abdul Rahim, along with respected ulema from all schools of thought and minority leaders, expressed unity under the NPAC platform.

The participants reaffirmed their full solidarity with the State of Pakistan, its constitutional structure, and national security decisions.They emphasized that religious and community leaders play a crucial role in reducing tensions following security incidents and in promoting reconciliation.

Promoting a Moderate and Inclusive Narrative

The committee underscored that a positive and moderate religious narrative—one that respects Balochistan’s cultural diversity—can further strengthen national unity.

Speakers noted that inclusive messaging and responsible leadership are essential to counter extremist ideologies and build long-term social harmony.

Regional Concerns and Security Support

NPAC called on Afghanistan to refrain from supporting what it described as “Fitna al-Khawarij (FAK)” in any form.

The committee reiterated full support for Pakistan’s armed forces in operations against extremist groups and expressed gratitude to the Frontier Corps (FC), Pakistan Army, and the people of Balochistan for their resilience against militancy.

Solidarity with Muslims Abroad

The committee expressed solidarity with Muslims in Gaza and Iran, condemning attacks on Iran while also stating that damage to national assets cannot be justified under any circumstances.

Commitment to Constitutional Order and National Stability

In closing, the National Paigham-e-Amn Committee emphasized that Pakistan’s minorities stand united with all segments of society in supporting peace and national stability.

The press conference concluded with a strong message that unity, responsible religious leadership, and adherence to constitutional and legal frameworks are essential for ensuring a peaceful and prosperous future for Balochistan.
