KUALA LUMPUR — Malaysia’s Prime Minister, Anwar Ibrahim, has expressed support for Pakistan’s timely and constructive initiative to host talks between the United States and Iran, calling it a crucial step to reduce escalating tensions in the Middle East. As the head of Malaysia’s government, Anwar Ibrahim emphasized the importance of regional cooperation and dialogue in promoting peace and stability.

In a statement shared on X , the Malaysian leader voiced backing for the active role of Pakistan and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in creating the conditions for meaningful negotiations. He described the initiative as an opportunity to strengthen diplomatic relations and foster collaboration among Muslim-majority nations.

“Pakistan’s support for facilitating dialogue between the parties demonstrates its commitment to regional stability and de-escalation,” Anwar Ibrahim said. He added that collective coordination and diplomatic efforts among Muslim countries can play a vital role in preventing further crises and promoting peace.

Experts believe that Pakistan’s move not only has the potential to ease tensions but also reinforces Islamabad’s position as a trusted regional mediator and a reliable partner in the Muslim world.
