Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif spoke with Qatar’s Amir, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, in a telephone call on March 25, 2026. The discussion was warm and cordial, with Eid ul Fitr greetings exchanged between the leaders and their peoples.

During the conversation, Prime Minister Sharif expressed serious concern over ongoing hostilities in the region. He condemned attacks on Qatar and other Gulf countries and conveyed Pakistan’s deep condolences for the loss of lives, praying for the injured. “Pakistan stands in full solidarity with Qatar at this challenging time,” the Prime Minister said.

He also briefed the Amir on Pakistan’s ongoing diplomatic outreach and peace efforts. Sharif emphasized that Pakistan has consistently urged all parties to resolve conflicts through dialogue and diplomacy rather than confrontation.

His Highness the Amir of Qatar appreciated Pakistan’s sincere efforts for regional peace. Both leaders agreed to maintain close communication in the coming days to monitor the situation and support diplomatic solutions.
