Tehran – APRIL,6 – Iranian state media has confirmed the death of Majid Khademi, who served as the head of intelligence for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

According to the IRGC statement, as reported by the Fars News Agency, Khademi was killed in what Iran described as a “terrorist attack carried out by the US-Israeli enemy.” The incident reportedly took place in the early hours of Monday, though exact details of the operation have not been publicly disclosed.

Iranian authorities said Khademi was targeted in a precision strike linked to ongoing tensions and military confrontations involving the United States and Israel. No further operational details, such as location or method of the attack, were provided.

Khademi had recently been appointed as head of the IRGC intelligence organization in June last year, after his predecessor, Mohammad Kazemi, was also killed in an earlier Israeli strike.

The development comes amid a period of heightened regional conflict and escalating covert operations between Iran, Israel, and the United States, with both sides increasingly targeting senior military and intelligence figures.

Iranian officials have vowed that such attacks will not go unanswered, signaling the possibility of further escalation in an already volatile regional situation.
