The ceasefire came at a time when the situation was becoming increasingly dangerous. However, Pakistan’s timely mediation helped bring both sides to the negotiating table. As a result, a major escalation was avoided and space was created for dialogue.

US President Donald Trump credited Pakistan’s leadership for playing an important role in securing the ceasefire. Similarly, UN Secretary-General António Guterres appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in managing a complex and sensitive process. American lawmakers, including Senator Jeff Merkley, also described the agreement as a result of Pakistan’s continued engagement.

Meanwhile, support from the Muslim world further highlighted the importance of Pakistan’s role. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan called Pakistan’s diplomatic coordination vital for peace. In addition, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Kuwait welcomed the ceasefire and praised Pakistan’s leadership. Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim also congratulated Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for his strong diplomatic efforts.

At the same time, European and Western leaders also recognized Pakistan’s contribution. Furthermore, global analysts and media figures have responded positively. Some experts described Pakistan’s efforts as a major step toward stability. A former Italian prime minister even said Pakistan deserves global recognition for its peace efforts. Analysts believe this success has improved Pakistan’s image on the international stage.

This development shows that Pakistan is emerging as an important diplomatic player. Its role in this ceasefire reflects a clear commitment to peace. As tensions remain in the region, continued diplomacy will be key to maintaining stability.
