United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has called Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar and praised Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability, including the successful hosting of the “Islamabad Talks.”
According to a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the UN Secretary-General, during the telephone conversation, appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts aimed at improving the overall situation in the Middle East and the broader region.
He specifically commended Pakistan’s role in hosting the “Islamabad Talks,” describing them as an important milestone for global peace. António Guterres also praised the personal efforts of Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar in facilitating the process.

UN Support and Commitment to Peace
The UN Secretary-General expressed the United Nations’ commitment to supporting Pakistan’s continued efforts toward conflict resolution and peacebuilding in the region.
