Iran’s Foreign Ministry has underscored Pakistan’s critical role in ongoing diplomatic efforts amid the current regional and international landscape, formally recognizing it as the sole official mediator.

In a statement, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei confirmed that Pakistan is currently serving as the only formal mediator in the diplomatic process. The remarks come at a time when diplomatic engagements are intensifying to ease regional tensions and restore communication between various countries.

According to Baghaei, Pakistan’s role is not only official but also regarded as highly credible by Tehran under present circumstances. While he did not specify the exact countries or issues involved, diplomatic observers link the statement to the evolving situation in the Middle East and Iran’s interactions with global powers.

Pakistan has previously played a bridging role in reducing tensions between countries including Iran and Saudi Arabia. With Iran now recognizing Pakistan as the sole official mediator, analysts expect Islamabad’s diplomatic significance on the global stage to grow further.
