Pakistan has strongly condemned the recent provocative actions by illegal Israeli settlers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, including the hoisting of the occupying power’s flag. According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office spokesperson, such actions constitute a clear violation of international law and an attack on the sanctity of one of Islam’s holiest sites.

Violation of Sacred Sanctity

The Foreign Office stated that the forced entry of Israeli settlers into Al-Aqsa Mosque and the raising of the Israeli flag is a deliberate provocation aimed at hurting the religious sentiments of Palestinians and escalating tensions in the region.

Pakistan warned that such actions by the occupying power risk further deteriorating peace and stability in the Middle East.

Call for International Action

Pakistan has urged the United Nations and the international community to take immediate and effective steps to protect Islamic holy sites under occupation.

The statement called for holding Israel accountable for its illegal actions and demanded an end to support for extremist settler activities.

Pakistan’s Position on Palestine

Reaffirming its unwavering support for the Palestinian people, Pakistan reiterated its commitment to the establishment of a sovereign and independent Palestinian state.

It emphasized support for a state based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.

Pakistan stressed that lasting peace in the region can only be achieved through a two-state solution and the realization of Palestinian rights, warning that continued occupation and aggression would undermine all peace efforts.
