During a courageous operation against terrorists in the Zhob district of Balochistan, Pakistan Army Lieutenant Colonel Khalid Hussain was martyred while fighting bravely in the line of duty.

According to reports, security forces received intelligence about the presence of terrorists in the Zhob area, following which an operation was launched under the leadership of Lieutenant Colonel Khalid Hussain. During the encounter, the terrorists opened indiscriminate fire on the security forces, which was strongly retaliated by the troops. In the intense exchange of fire, Lieutenant Colonel Khalid Hussain led the frontline unit, eliminated multiple terrorists, and sacrificed his life in defence of the country.

Tribute From the Nation

As news of his martyrdom spread, social media echoed with the slogan “The death of a martyr is the life of the nation.” People from different walks of life paid tribute to his sacrifice, stating that the blood of Pakistan Army officers and soldiers guarantees the survival of the homeland. Prayers were offered for the elevation of the martyr’s ranks and for patience for the bereaved family.

Security sources stated that the sacrifices of brave officers like Lieutenant Colonel Khalid Hussain further strengthen the resolve of ongoing counter-terrorism operations. Operations will continue in Balochistan until the complete elimination of terrorism and restoration of lasting peace.

The body of the martyred officer has been sent to his native area with full military honors, where his funeral prayer will be offered and he will be laid to rest.
