Pakistan born security guard Abdullah Tanoli has received exceptional recognition in the United Kingdom after he saved an 11-year-old girl from a knife-wielding attacker.
A British judge praised his bravery and ordered that he be awarded a £1,000 cash reward, calling his act a strong example of humanity and civic responsibility.
UK Judge Awards Cash Prize for Bravery
According to British media Abdullah Tanoli was on duty at a shop when he heard the screams of an 11-year-old girl targeted by an armed attacker.
He acted immediately, moved the girl to safety, and with the help of other security guards held the attacker until police arrived.
During the court hearing, the judge commended Abdullah’s courage and ordered that he be rewarded. The attacker, Ponn Puntaro, was declared a threat to society and sent to a high-security mental hospital.
Following the incident, Abdullah Tanoli has been celebrated as a hero across the UK.
Social and welfare organizations have honored him with multiple awards. The Pakistani community has expressed pride in his actions, saying such efforts promote positive social values and show that the spirit of humanity has no boundaries.
