TEHRAN_ Former Speaker of Iran’s Parliament and Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Dr. Ali Larijani, has announced that he is leaving for an important visit to Pakistan. Speaking before his departure, Larijani called Pakistan a

 “friendly, brotherly, and trustworthy neighbor,”

 stressing that both nations play a vital role in regional peace and stability.

Acknowledgment of Pakistan’s Support During Recent Conflict

Larijani stated that the Iranian people deeply value the solidarity and compassion shown by Pakistan during the 12-day war imposed on Iran by the United States and Israel. He noted that this gesture of support has become a lasting part of Iran’s collective memory, reinforcing the emotional and historical bond between the two countries.

Visit Declared ‘Exceptional’ Amid Shifting Geopolitics

Tehran has described this visit as exceptional, noting that although Iran–Pakistan relations are strong, the changing global and regional landscape has created new shared challenges. Iran emphasized that increasing coordination, policy alignment, and strategic cooperation is now essential for both countries.

According to official sources, Larijani’s visit comes at a time of significant geopolitical shifts.
