Charsadda, February 13, 2026 – Bacha Khan University (BKUC) has taken strict disciplinary action against four students of the Pharmacy Department for actions deemed hostile to the State. The University Disciplinary Committee, in its 73rd meeting held on February 13, 2026, recommended the expulsion of the students, a decision that was subsequently approved by the competent authority.

According to the official notification issued by the Office of the Provost, the students were found to have violated university and hostel regulations by raising slogans against the State within university premises. In addition, they sang the national anthem of India in a provocative manner, recording and uploading the video on social media platforms, which amplified the incident and undermined the institution’s code of conduct.
In addition to expulsion, the students’ hostel accommodations have been cancelled, and they have been directed to vacate the hostel immediately. The decision was also communicated to the Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Chief Security Officer, Head of the Department of Pharmacy, and the Boys’ Hostel Warden for immediate implementation.

A university spokesperson stated, “Bacha Khan University remains committed to upholding its regulations and fostering an environment of discipline, respect, and national cohesion. Actions that threaten campus harmony and breach statutory rules will not be tolerated.”

The university emphasized that students are expected to adhere to both national values and institutional regulations, and that any further violations will be dealt with strictly in accordance with university policies.
