Istanbul – 23 April 2025: A powerful earthquake hits Istanbul on Wednesday, forcing thousands to evacuate buildings across the sprawling Turkish metropolis. The 6.2 magnitude earthquake struck at 12:49 local time in the Silivri area, according to Turkey’s AFAD disaster agency.
