Web desk: An ambulance arrived at Adiala Jail on Sunday after reports suggested that former Prime Minister Imran Khan required medical attention. The development quickly drew public attention. Security officials also tightened monitoring around the prison.

Sources said authorities arranged the ambulance as a precaution. Officials have not clarified whether doctors will shift Imran Khan to a hospital. They may also treat him inside the jail facility. Meanwhile, political circles continue to speculate about the next step.

Jail sources revealed that a specialized medical team reached the prison at 2:30 PM. The team includes senior doctors from leading hospitals in Islamabad. They are ready to conduct a detailed medical examination.

Authorities also allowed representation from the leadership of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) during the checkup. However, despite the government’s invitation, no PTI leader arrived at the jail. Officials waited for a considerable time. They later stated that doctors would begin the examination if no representative reached the facility.

After completing the checkup, doctors will prepare a medical report. They will submit the report to the Supreme Court. The court will then decide whether authorities should shift Imran Khan to a hospital. Otherwise, he will continue receiving treatment inside the jail.

The ambulance’s arrival comes amid heightened political tensions. PTI supporters are closely following updates about their leader’s health and legal matters. Party leaders have repeatedly demanded proper medical care and transparency.

Law enforcement agencies have strengthened security around Adiala Jail. Officials restricted movement near the premises. Media crews gathered outside to monitor the situation.

The government has not issued a detailed statement so far. However, officials confirmed that medical findings will determine the next course of action. Supporters and political observers now await the court’s decision.
