Security sources have revealed that Pakistan’s intelligence agencies have uncovered an alleged Indian plan for a false flag operation after decoding secret communications, bringing key aspects of a potential plot to light.

According to sources, India is reportedly preparing a new false flag operation against Pakistan, in which Pakistani and Kashmiri prisoners may be used. It has been stated that Indian authorities are allegedly planning to detain individuals who accidentally crossed the border and use them for specific purposes.

Security officials claim that under this plan, prisoners could be moved to border areas in Indian-administered Kashmir, where an operation may be carried out and later blamed on Pakistan. The objective is said to be not only to escalate border tensions but also to divert Pakistan’s attention toward the eastern front.

Sources further alleged that through such an operation, India aims to shape an anti-Pakistan narrative at the international level and divert attention from diplomatic challenges. It is also claimed that some prisoners are being removed from jails and gathered together, with the possibility of involving additional individuals in the process.

Security authorities noted that similar allegations have surfaced in the past; however, due to a lack of evidence, their credibility has often been questioned. They emphasized that the international community should thoroughly verify facts before reacting to any unverified claims or incidents.

Experts warn that given the already tense situation in the region, any such potential operation could have serious consequences not only for Pakistan and India but for regional peace and stability as a whole.

What is a False Flag Operation?

In global political history, “false flag operations” have emerged as a complex but significant phenomenon, where covert actions are carried out to gain power, justify war, or influence public opinion. In such operations, one party conducts an attack but blames it on another to achieve its objectives.

The term originates from naval warfare, where ships would fly an enemy’s flag to conceal their identity. In modern times, this concept has evolved into state and non-state level information warfare and covert operations. The primary objectives include justifying military action, gaining international support, shaping public opinion, and creating grounds for action against adversaries.

History of False Flag Operations

Historically, several incidents have been cited as examples of false flag operations. The 1933 Reichstag Fire and the 1939 Gleiwitz incident in Germany are notable examples where events were used for political purposes. Similarly, in the United States, Operation Northwoods, the 1999 Russian apartment bombings, and other controversial incidents have raised questions among observers about whether they were carried out under specific strategic designs.

In South Asia as well, such claims have surfaced regarding certain attacks, with various circles questioning the motives behind them. The 2008 Mumbai attacks, the 2019 Pulwama attack, and the 2025 Pahalgam attack are presented by some as recent examples of alleged false flag operations attributed to India against Pakistan.
