The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has issued a new Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) announcing the temporary suspension of flight operations at Islamabad International Airport for a two-hour period on March 17.
According to the notice, all landing and take-off activities at the airport will be halted from 08:30 AM to 10:30 AM. The suspension was announced shortly after the PAA withdrew an earlier NOTAM that had planned a similar two-hour closure on March 16.
In addition to the temporary closure at the airport, six sectors within the Lahore Flight Information Region (FIR) will also remain temporarily closed to commercial flights during the same period on March 17.
Authorities have not provided detailed reasons for the brief suspension but stated that the notice is part of standard aviation procedures to ensure safe and coordinated air traffic management. Airlines and passengers are advised to stay updated with their carriers regarding any possible changes to flight schedules.
