Pakistan has strongly rejected recent claims made by the Taliban’s “Ministry of Refugees” that Pakistan’s forces carried out “blind bombings” on Afghan returnee camps in Torkham and Spin Boldak.

The Taliban alleged that women and children were killed or injured and that Pakistan violated international law while targeting civilians.

Pakistan has responded clearly, calling the claims completely baseless and false. Officials including the Minister of Information and Broadcasting and the DG ISPR have emphasized that Pakistan only targets terrorist hideouts, command centers, logistics hubs, and training camps of groups operating against the country. These actions are carried out with precision to avoid civilian harm.

Pakistan’s Defense and Commitment to Refugees

Contrary to Taliban statements, Pakistan has not attacked any refugee camps. The country has hosted over 4 million Afghan refugees for more than fifty years and continues to provide support to those in need.

The recent management and repatriation of illegal Afghan nationals is being conducted for security reasons and falls within Pakistan’s sovereign rights. Officials stress that Pakistan remains committed to maintaining stability while acting responsibly.

Taliban Propaganda and Regional Security

Independent sources have not verified the Taliban claims, and no credible evidence supports their allegations. Observers note that these statements appear to be part of a wider propaganda effort to shift attention from the Afghan government’s support for terrorist groups and its recent aggression against Pakistan.

Pakistan has reiterated that its operations are defensive and focused on neutralising threats, not targeting civilians.

Pakistan’s government urges the international community to recognize the truth and avoid being influenced by misleading reports. It continues to act as a responsible state, balancing security needs with humanitarian obligations.

Pakistan’s official position remains clear: protecting its citizens, countering terrorism, and ensuring the safety of refugees are top priorities.

With precision operations, diplomatic efforts, and humanitarian assistance, Pakistan continues to defend its sovereignty while demonstrating responsibility toward regional security and international law.

The Taliban’s false claims will not alter Pakistan’s commitment to law, order, and stability in the region.
