Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is expected to receive widespread rain and snowfall over the next 24 hours, with several districts likely to face difficult travel conditions.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) issued the latest advisory, warning residents and travelers to stay cautious as intense weather develops across the province.

Widespread rain and snow expected
PMD said snowfall over high mountains is very likely in Upper and Lower Chitral.
The areas include Upper and Lower Dir, Swat, Shangla, Upper and Lower Kohistan, Kolai Palas, Malakand, Buner, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Bajaur, Mohmand and Khyber. These areas may also receive widespread rainfall.
Scattered to isolated rain is expected in Peshawar, Haripur, Mardan, Swabi, Nowshera, Charsadda, Kohat, Orakzai, Kurram, Hangu, Karak, Bannu, North Waziristan and Lakki Marwat.
Fog is likely to develop in parts of Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, Charsadda, Swabi and D.I. Khan, especially on the M-1 Motorway and the GT Road during late night and early morning hours.
The department said snowfall may cause road closures and slippery conditions in Naran, Kaghan, Dir, Swat, Buner, Malakand, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Shangla and Galliyat.
There is also a possibility of landslides and avalanches in hilly areas. PMD advised travelers and tourists to avoid unnecessary movement during the period.

Rainfall, temperatures and air quality
Recent rainfall measurements include Balakot at 17 mm, Pattan 16 mm, Kalam 14 mm, Saidu Sharif and Malamjabba 12 mm each, and Kakul 11 mm.
Dir recorded 8 mm, while Risalpur received 6 mm and Cherat 5 mm. Peshawar city and airport recorded 3 mm each.
The lowest temperature today was 0°C in Malamjabba and Parachinar. Air quality remained moderate to unhealthy in some cities, with Peshawar at an AQI of 110, Haripur at 80 and Abbottabad at 61.
PMD advised the public to stay updated on weather alerts and plan travel accordingly.
