Islamabad: According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), on the morning of October 15, Afghan Taliban forces launched attacks at four separate locations in Spin Boldak, using border villages as shields and showing no regard for civilian safety.
The ISPR stated that the militants also targeted the Pak-Afghan Bab-i-Dosti (Friendship Gate), reflecting their disregard for established commercial and tribal protocols.
Pakistani military officials said their forces effectively repelled the attacks, killing between 15 and 20 Taliban fighters and injuring several others. ISPR further noted increased movement at Taliban and other militant staging points, signaling ongoing threats.
The statement linked these attacks to the clashes in Kurram Sector on the night of October 14–15, during which Taliban and allied militant groups attempted assaults on Pakistani posts. The military’s retaliatory operations reportedly destroyed eight Afghan outposts and six tanks, with an estimated 25–30 enemy fighters killed.
Addressing rumors of any violations of Pakistan’s ceasefire or damage to posts and equipment, the ISPR dismissed such claims as “misleading and completely false.”
