KARACHI-APRIL,2- The Pakistan Navy and China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Navy have successfully concluded the seven-day Sea Guardian IV Exercise, aimed at enhancing maritime cooperation and operational interoperability, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The exercise, conducted from March 25 to April 1, included a five-day port phase in Karachi and a two-day sea phase in the North Arabian Sea.

During the port visit, the PLA Navy ship Daqing was received by Pakistan Navy Ship PNS Taimur. The engagements featured exchange visits, professional discussions on maritime security challenges, orientations at naval installations, and a maiden Young Officers Seminar.

The sea phase involved a series of advanced naval drills, including air defence exercises against multi-domain swarm threats, operations with a Pakistan Navy submarine, conventional warfare drills at sea, and live firing exercises designed to enhance tactical coordination.

The exercise concluded with a coordinated patrol in the Arabian Sea, underscoring both navies’ commitment to strengthening regional maritime security and ensuring stability in the broader maritime domain.
