DUBAI_ The Pakistan International Screen Awards (PISAs) 2025, initially scheduled for November 22 at Dubai’s Festival Arena, have been postponed. The decision was announced on the awards’ official Instagram page, citing routine visa processing delays for nominees, performers, and key participants. The organizers stated that the shift ensures “full attendance and proper representation.”

Statement from Organizers

Faisal Khan, founder of PISAs, emphasized the importance of nominees’ presence: “There can be no show without award nominees.” The new date for the event has not yet been officially confirmed, but is expected to be announced soon.

Jury and Nominees

This year’s jury panel includes Something Haute Managing Editor Hassan Choudary, YouTube star Taimoor Salahuddin (Mooroo), and culture critics Kamran Jawaid, Maliha Rehman, and Sabah Bano Malik. Something Haute’s Aamna Isani is serving as the jury manager.

The nominees for 22 of the 24 categories were announced in mid-October, featuring notable Pakistani entertainment figures such as Mawra Hocane and Fahad Mustafa, among others.

Public Reactions

Fans and followers have expressed curiosity and frustration over the visa delays. Some commenters questioned why applications were not submitted on time, while others suggested that the show could proceed through alternative arrangements if needed.

While the postponement may disappoint fans eagerly awaiting the ceremony, the organizers aim to ensure a seamless and well-represented event. The industry now awaits the announcement of the new date, with hopes that all nominees and performers can attend.
