Washington, DC — Today, on behalf of President Donald Trump, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff announced the launch of Phase Two of the President’s 20-Point Plan to End the Gaza Conflict. This next stage moves beyond the initial ceasefire toward demilitarization, technocratic governance, and reconstruction of Gaza.

The initiative emphasizes a structured, multi-step approach to ensure sustainable peace, security, and development for the people of Gaza. According to the US envoy, the plan is designed to support governance reforms, rebuild infrastructure, and provide humanitarian relief while reducing the risk of renewed conflict.


Moving from Ceasefire to Demilitarization and Governance

Special Envoy Steve Witkoff stated that Phase Two focuses on demilitarizing Gaza, establishing technocratic governance structures, and promoting institutional reforms. US officials explained that these measures aim to strengthen local governance, enhance stability, and prevent future escalations.
