PESHAWAR, May 25, 2025 – Flydubai flights to Peshawar, the UAE’s budget carrier, officially commenced its operations in Peshawar on Saturday, marking a major leap in regional air connectivity. The Pakistan Aviation Authority (PAA) confirmed the successful landing of flight FZ 375 at Bacha Khan International Airport, carrying 164 passengers on board.

To mark the occasion, airport personnel greeted the aircraft with a traditional water cannon salute. Senior officials from both the airport and the airline joined a celebratory cake-cutting ceremony, highlighting the importance of this new aviation milestone.

Daily Service Enhances Access Between Dubai and KP

With the launch of this new route, Flydubai flights to Peshawar has introduced daily flights between Dubai and Peshawar. This development significantly enhances travel options for residents of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and surrounding areas. Given the large expatriate population in the Gulf, the new service aims to simplify journeys for families and professionals alike.

Shortly after its arrival, the aircraft departed back to Dubai at 2:20 AM PKT, this time with 184 outbound passengers, successfully completing the inaugural round trip.

Bacha Khan International Airport continues to solidify its role as a vital international hub in northern Pakistan. Currently, over 75% of the airport’s traffic is international. The addition of Flydubai to its roster further strengthens Peshawar’s links with Gulf nations and offers more seamless connections to Europe through Dubai.

The PAA also highlighted the growing interest of foreign airlines in expanding to Peshawar. For instance, Salam Air began twice-weekly flights from Muscat in October 2023, responding to increasing passenger demand.

This expansion not only deepens UAE-Pakistan bilateral ties but also supports trade, tourism, and remittance flow. Enhanced air connectivity is expected to spur economic opportunities and encourage greater cultural and people-to-people exchange.

Looking ahead, the Pakistan Aviation Authority reaffirmed its commitment to elevating international access from secondary airports like Peshawar, aiming to meet the evolving Flightdubai flights to Peshawar needs of Pakistani travelers with better global connections.
