LAHORE, May 25, 2025 – Authorities shifted former Foreign Minister and senior PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi to the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) from Kot Lakhpat Jail on Saturday morning after he reported severe chest pain. His lawyer, Advocate Rana Mudassar, confirmed that Qureshi began feeling discomfort shortly after Fajr prayers.

Jail doctors examined him immediately but failed to ease his symptoms. Rescue 1122 paramedics responded to the call and transported him to PIC for specialized treatment.
