LAHORE, Oct 18 Punjab Finance Minister Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman inaugurated the two-day Pak-China Love Festival 2025 at the Expo Centre here on Saturday.

Chinese Consul General Zhao Shiren, Turkish Consul General, honorary consul generals, PCJCCI President Nazir Hussain, Secretary General Salahuddin Hanif, renowned businessmen, academia and Executive Committee members of the Pakistan-China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI) also attended the ceremony.The event is jointly organized by the PCJCCI, Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Lahore, Information and Culture Department of the Government of Punjab and ARQ Group of Companies.

Speaking on the occasion, Punjab Finance Minister Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman lauded the efforts of the PCJCCI and its partners for organizing an event that celebrates the enduring friendship and strategic partnership between Pakistan and China. He said that the festival not only promotes culture and trade but also reflects the brotherhood and emotional connection between the people of both countries.

He emphasized that such events play an important role in strengthening diplomatic and public ties and encouraged citizens to visit the festival, which promises to create lasting memories through mutual respect, cultural understanding and shared aspirations for peace and prosperity.

Chinese Consul General Zhao Shiren appreciated the strong collaboration between Pakistan and China and expressed gratitude for the warmth and hospitality of the Pakistani people. He said that the Pak-China Love Festival symbolizes the deep-rooted friendship that continues to grow through cultural, economic and social cooperation.

PCJCCI President Nazir Hussain said that the festival features participation from more than 100 Pakistani and Chinese brands, showcasing a wide range of food, clothing, jewelry, handicrafts and cultural artifacts. He said the event serves as a platform to foster cultural exchange, business partnerships and people-to-people connections between the two countries.

Secretary General PCJCCI Salahuddin Hanif added that the festival stands as a vibrant example of how cultural exchange and interaction can enhance understanding and mutual respect between nations.ARQ Group of Companies CEO Amir Rafiq Qureshi said that the festival offers an exciting experience for visitors with an array of food stalls featuring authentic Pakistani and Chinese cuisine, traditional flavours and signature dishes from both nations.

Senior Vice President PCJCCI Brig (R) Mansoor Saeed Sheikh said that such festivals not only strengthen bilateral relations but also open new opportunities for trade and investment between Pakistan and China.

The event also includes cultural performances, a grand musical concert and a Qawali night featuring renowned Pakistani artists including Humera Arshad, Saen Zahoor, Manwa Sisters and Tehseen Sakina.

The Pak-China Love Festival 2025 will continue till Sunday and will feature more cultural performances, exhibitions and culinary attractions for families, students, entrepreneurs and cultural enthusiasts.
