Islamabad – The Federal Minister for Interior, Mohsin Naqvi, has strongly condemned the recent actions of the Afghan Taliban regime, which targeted innocent civilian populations along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. The minister emphasized that deliberately endangering non-combatants is both morally reprehensible and a violation of international norms.

According to official statements, the Pakistani Armed Forces responded decisively to the unprovoked aggression. The attacks reportedly occurred under the cover of night, when Taliban elements attempted to strike Pakistani territory. Pakistani security officials described the actions as cowardly and deplorable, aimed at creating fear and destabilization among civilian communities.

Minister Naqvi praised the military for its swift and precise response, noting that Pakistan remains committed to protecting its citizens while adhering to the principles of proportionate and measured action. He also highlighted the broader concern that such cross-border attacks not only threaten local populations but undermine regional stability and peace.

“The deliberate targeting of innocent civilians is unacceptable. Pakistan will continue to defend its people and sovereignty while calling for accountability and adherence to international humanitarian law,” the minister stated.

This incident underscores the ongoing security challenges along the western border and the continued vigilance required by Pakistan’s security and defense institutions to counter threats originating from hostile elements across the frontier.
