Pakistan has expanded its air campaign, striking key Taliban positions across Afghanistan. According to security sources, the latest strikes targeted Taliban headquarters in Paktia, along with multiple centers in Khost, Kabul, and Kandahar. Loud explosions were heard in Kabul as fighter jets hit sensitive locations, including a brigade headquarters in Pul-e-Charkhi.
Soon after, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid confirmed that attacks had taken place in several provinces. Officials say the strikes were precise and focused on military and command facilities linked to hostile actions against Pakistan.
Meanwhile, confirmed reports indicate heavy losses for the Afghan Taliban regime. According to Pakistan’s Information Minister,at least 133 operatives were killed and more than 200 injured. A total of 27 Taliban posts were destroyed and nine seized.Two corps headquarters, three brigade headquarters, two ammunition depots, one logistics base, three battalion headquarters, two sector headquarters, and over 80 tanks, artillery guns, and APCs were destroyed.
At the same time, security officials raised concern over videos circulating online. The clips allegedly show Taliban military figures openly urging the TTP to carry out suicide attacks in Punjab and Lahore. Authorities say this development further explains the scale of Pakistan’s response.
Officials say military operations are ongoing as Pakistan continues to respond to emerging security threats.
