Islamabad has called on both the United States and Iran to extend the current ceasefire and give diplomacy more time to work. The appeal was made by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar during a recent meeting with the US Chargé d’Affaires Natalie Baker.
According to the Foreign Office, the meeting focused on the growing tensions in the region and possible ways to reduce risks. Ishaq Dar stressed that Pakistan supports peace and stability in the region. He said dialogue is the only practical way forward when tensions rise between countries.
