Iran is reviewing a new proposal for talks from US President Donald Trump, according to Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. He said Tehran is carefully studying the offer before making any decision.

To begin with, Araghchi stated that the US approach shows a shift in its position. He claimed Washington has not achieved its goals against Iran, which is why it is now showing interest in dialogue. According to him, pressure-based policies have failed to force Iran into agreement.

In addition, he emphasized that Iran’s response will depend on clear conditions. Tehran insists that any talks must be based on equality and mutual respect. Without these principles, Iran will not move forward with negotiations.

Regional Diplomacy and Wider Strategic Signals

At the same time, Araghchi linked this diplomatic signal to broader regional developments. He pointed to changes in US activity in the region as a sign of shifting strategy.

Moreover, he noted the cancellation of planned visits by US envoys to Pakistan. These include special representatives who were expected to engage in regional discussions. According to him, this cancellation reflects difficulties in achieving US diplomatic goals in the region.

Meanwhile, political analysts believe that if talks between Iran and the Trump administration begin, it could mark a major turning point. It may reshape political dynamics in the Middle East and parts of South Asia.

However, experts also caution that progress will depend on trust between both sides. Iran’s firm stance suggests that negotiations will not be easy or quick.

In conclusion, while discussions remain uncertain, the possibility of dialogue has created new attention in global diplomacy. The coming weeks may show whether this opening leads to reduced tensions or further political complexity.
