BEIJING – APRIL 8- Afghanistan and Pakistan have agreed to work toward a comprehensive resolution of tensions that emerged following a conflict in October last year, according to the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The announcement was made during a press briefing by ministry spokesperson Mao Ning, who said the understanding was reached during talks held in Urumqi, China.
Commitment to De-escalation
According to the statement, both Afghanistan and Pakistan have pledged to avoid any actions that could further escalate or complicate the situation. The commitment was made as part of ongoing diplomatic engagements facilitated by China.
