Balochistan, Iran – Various Iranian anti-regime groups in the Sistan-Balochistan region have declared the formation of a new unified group called the People’s Fighters’ Front. The establishment of this front is an indication of a possible convergence of militant and political opposition movements in the region.

It was announced through a five-minute thirty-two-second video released by the militant group Jaish al-Adl that also introduced a new flag of the coalition. According to a spokesperson of the coalition, Mahmood Baloch, several active parties and groups had established the Front to coordinate and unify their struggle and make it more effective.

Charter Details and Members

The new coalition later published its nine-page Charter of the People’s Fighters Front online, defining its membership as well as its overarching purpose.

The charter lists the following groups as members: Pada Baloch Movement, Nasr Movement of Balochistan, Jaish al-Adl, Mohammad Rasoulullah Group, and Self-motivated Baloch fighters.

Jaish al-Adl affirmed their merger with these other Baloch militant groups into a new single entity.

“Balochistan’s combative activities will continue in the form of a united front with one leader and organization, which will be more effective,” the statement said.

Goals Beyond Armed Resistance

While the Front acknowledges its engagement in “defensive” armed resistance, the charter emphasizes that the coalition intends to engage across multiple domains such as political, diplomatic, media, cultural, and social activities.

The ultimate aim of the newly formed front is to pursue freedom and equal rights, not only to the people of Balochistan but also to other marginalized communities across Iran.
