Security forces in the Bara area of Khyber district have killed 18 militants during a successful intelligence-based operation, officials confirmed.

According to security sources, the operation was launched in a specific area of Bara after intelligence reports indicated the presence of militants. A fierce exchange of fire resulted in the killing of 18 fighters, and the bodies of most of them were taken into custody by security forces.

Sources further stated that among those killed were Afghan nationals who had crossed the border and were involved in subversive activities.

A search operation is still underway in the surrounding areas to clear any remaining militant hideouts. Security officials said that operations will continue until terrorism is completely eliminated from the country, and no disruptive elements will be allowed to disturb law and order.

It is worth noting that in recent days, security operations against militants have intensified in border districts to counter cross-border infiltration and eliminate local terrorism threats.
