Mao Ning, spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated in a press briefing that China’s nuclear program is strictly peaceful, defensive, and compliant with international norms.

The spokesperson called the U.S. allegations “groundless” and emphasized that China, as a responsible nuclear power, remains committed to global peace and stability. Mao Ning clarified that China’s nuclear capabilities are intended solely for deterrence and defensive purposes, not for aggressive actions.

Commitment to International Treaties

She urged President Trump to focus on practical steps that promote nuclear facility security and international stability.

China’s Role in Global Peace

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, China will continue to play a constructive role in maintaining global peace and will not succumb to baseless accusations or external pressure.
