BEIJING – China has firmly rejected recent claims made by U.S. President Donald Trump, which suggested that China is allegedly conducting or preparing for new nuclear tests. Mao Ning, spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated in a press briefing that China’s nuclear program is strictly peaceful, defensive, and compliant with international norms.

The spokesperson called the U.S. allegations “groundless” and emphasized that China, as a responsible nuclear power, remains committed to global peace and stability.
