Rawalpindi-May 26,2025: India uses Afghanistan to destabilize Pakistan, said Pakistan Army spokesperson Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry during a special session in Rawalpindi on Sunday. He urged Afghan authorities not to shelter terrorists or act as tools for Indian interests.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General addressed more than 2,500 university students from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He emphasized unity and warned about regional threats backed by India.

Military Responded Decisively to Indian Aggression

Lt Gen Chaudhry recalled a recent Indian attack plan and said, “India thought it could strike Pakistan without consequences.” However, Pakistan retaliated swiftly. The military hit 26 Indian positions, including a brigade headquarters in Muzaffarabad.

“We turned their plans into dust. A wall of iron, formed by national unity and military resolve, shattered India’s flawed strategies,” he added.

He also paid tribute to seven-year-old Irtiza, who was martyred during Indian shelling. “We responded by destroying the enemy’s brigade headquarters,” he said, highlighting the army’s firm stance.

Call for Afghan Brothers to Reject Indian Influence

The ISPR DG described Afghanistan as a brotherly country. However, he blamed its elite class for allowing Indian influence to fester. “India buys off Afghanistan’s elite and uses them against Pakistan,” he said.

He urged Afghan citizens not to offer terrorists safe havens. “Do not become pawns of a country that dishonors the daughters of Kashmir,” he stressed.

Lt Gen Chaudhry also addressed rumors about gaps between the army and the public. “Some believe the army and the nation are distant. That’s false. We’ve always stood together and always will,” he declared.

In his closing remarks, he reinforced Pakistan’s position on Kashmir. “The time has come for Kashmir to become part of Pakistan.”

Ultimately, he warned regional players once again: India uses Afghanistan to wage proxy conflicts, but Pakistan stands ready and united to defend its sovereignty.
