Kabul, Afghanistan, June 21, 2025— Iran Israel Conflict: As Israeli airstrikes on Iran intensify, residents of Kabul are raising their voices in concern over the widening regional conflict. Many Afghans are calling for unity among Islamic nations to end the hostilities, warning that continued war will only deepen humanitarian crises and destabilize neighboring countries, including Afghanistan.

Kabul Residents Demand Regional Unity

Kabul residents have expressed growing concern over the escalating military confrontation between Iran and Israel, now entering its fourth consecutive day. Emphasizing the broader implications of the conflict, they are urging Islamic nations to rise above internal divisions and adopt a collective approach to restoring peace in the region.

Mohammad Almas Mohmand, a local resident, firmly stated, “When war is imposed upon you, it is necessary to defend yourself. This is not just Iran’s war; it is the war of the entire Islamic Ummah. Islamic countries must unite and resolve their internal issues to stop this bloodshed.”

Similarly, another Kabul resident, Mati, highlighted the direct impact of the Iran-Israel conflict on Afghanistan. “Iran is our neighboring country, and naturally, its conflict will affect Afghanistan. We have Afghan refugees living in Iran and maintain economic ties through trade. So the situation deeply concerns us.”

Concerns Over Regional Impact

Many residents fear that prolonged conflict could have serious consequences for Afghanistan. Sharing this view, Mahboob-ul-Haq urged an immediate halt to Israel’s military actions. “I call on Israel to end its attacks on Palestine and Iran. Innocent lives are being lost, and the violence must stop.”

Abdul Baes, another citizen, expressed his dismay over the growing toll on civilians. “We do not support war in any form. Innocent people are being killed. Both sides must come to an understanding and end this conflict peacefully.”
