BEIJING – MARCH,31 – Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, arrived in Beijing on a one-day official visit, marking another step in Islamabad’s active diplomatic engagement with regional and global partners.

Upon his arrival in China, Dar was received by Chinese Ambassador Yue Xiaoyong along with Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi.

The visit comes at a time when Pakistan is intensifying its diplomatic outreach, particularly in light of evolving regional dynamics and tensions in the Middle East. Officials say the trip is expected to include high-level discussions focusing on bilateral cooperation, regional stability, and key global developments.

Pakistan and China share what both sides describe as an “all-weather strategic cooperative partnership,” characterized by close coordination on political, economic, and security matters. Analysts believe that Dar’s visit reflects the importance Islamabad places on maintaining strong ties with Beijing, especially during a period of heightened geopolitical uncertainty.

The engagement is also likely to include consultations on ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at easing regional tensions, with Pakistan playing an increasingly active role in mediation and dialogue.
