Doha – Israel carried out airstrikes on Hamas leadership in the Qatari capital Doha. Israeli officials have confirmed the attack.
A Hamas leader has also confirmed that his negotiating delegation was targeted during a meeting in Doha.
According to eyewitnesses, several explosions were heard in the Qatari capital Doha on Tuesday.
It should be noted that the statement issued by the Israel Defense Forces on X has confirmed that they have targeted the senior leadership of Hamas in an attack; however, in this statement, they have not confirmed or explained where or in which country the attack on the Hamas leadership was carried out.
An eyewitness said that clouds of smoke were seen rising in the ‘Katara’ area of the capital.
It should be noted that Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz had threatened on Monday that “This is a final warning to Hamas in Gaza and abroad. They must release the prisoners and surrender immediately, otherwise Gaza will be destroyed, and they will be annihilated.’

No casualties were reported, Hamas
Although the deaths of Hamas leaders Khalil al-Hayyah and Khaled Meshaal were claimed immediately after the attack, this was confirmed by international media. However, Hamas has said in its statement that Hamas leaders who were at a meeting in the Qatari capital Doha were safe in the Israeli attack.
It should be noted that the Israeli army has claimed to have killed senior Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya in an airstrike in Qatar.
According to Arab media, five senior Hamas leaders, Khalid Meshaal, Khalil al-Hayya, Zahir Jabareen, Muhammad Darwish, and Abu Marzouk, were present at the meeting during the Israeli bombing.
According to Hamas sources, the meeting was chaired by senior leader Dr. Khalil al-Hayya.
Now, Hamas sources have claimed that the Hamas leaders present at the meeting in Doha were safe in the Israeli attack.
On the other hand, independent sources have now claimed that although the Hamas leadership was safe in the attack, five Hamas members were killed. The dead include Khalil al-Hayya’s office director, Jihad Labad, his son Hammam al-Hayya, Abdullah Abdul Wahid, Momin Hussein, and Ahmed al-Muluk.

US claims and Qatar’s response
The White House administration has claimed that Qatar was informed in advance about the Israeli attack on Hamas negotiators. According to the World News Agency, White House spokesperson Caroline said that the US military was the first to inform President Trump about the attack on time.
After which, President Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff informed Qatari authorities in advance about the attack.
The White House spokesman said that bombing an ally like Qatar goes against the goals of both the United States and Israel, but eliminating Hamas is a laudable goal.
On the other hand, Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Majid Al-Ansari rejected the White House claim, saying that the US official’s call was received during the bombings, not before.
The statements being circulated about Qatar being informed of the attack in advance are baseless. The call from a U.S. official came during the sound of explosions caused by the Israeli attack in Doha.

Israel attacks 5 countries in 24 hours
It should be noted that in the past 24 hours, Israel has targeted Palestine and Qatar, as well as Lebanon, Syria, and Tunisia. International observers are strongly criticizing Israel’s aggression and American support.
UN Session
It should be remembered that the 80th session of the UN General Assembly is starting today, in which the Palestinian issue will be the main agenda. It is most likely that more than 10 European countries will officially recognize Palestine and emphasize the two-state solution to the Palestinian issue.
The attack on 5 countries, including Qatar, a few hours before the session, can be considered an attempt to put pressure on the international community.
