ISLAMABAD, March 26 – A common leopard has been sighted at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) in Islamabad, raising concern among students and residents in the area.
The sighting comes amid multiple recent reports of leopard movements in the H-12 and H-10 sectors of the capital, including near the International Islamic University Islamabad (International Islamic University Islamabad).
Authorities and university administrations are reportedly monitoring the situation closely, as wildlife presence in densely populated urban areas has become an increasing concern in Islamabad.
No injuries or direct encounters have been reported so far, but officials have urged caution and advised people in nearby areas to remain alert, especially during early morning and evening hours.
Wildlife experts say such sightings are becoming more frequent due to urban expansion into natural habitats, forcing animals to move closer to residential and educational zones.
