Reports have emerged that the Pakistan Air Force carried out aerial strikes on several targets inside Afghanistan. According to early information, the strikes targeted a brigade headquarters in Pul-e-Charkhi in Kabul, Kandahar Airport, and militant positions in the Chamkani district of Paktia province.
Initial reports suggest that the operation was aimed at militant groups described as “Khawarij” by Pakistani sources. These groups are often linked to cross border attacks against Pakistan. Officials believe the strikes were part of efforts to respond to growing security concerns along the Pakistan Afghanistan border.
Furthermore, reports indicate that a large number of militants were killed during the operation. However, independent confirmation of the casualties has not yet been released. Authorities have also not provided full details about the scale of the strikes or the exact number of targets involved.
Meanwhile, security analysts say such actions highlight the rising tensions between Pakistan and militant groups operating near the border region. In recent months, Pakistan has repeatedly expressed concern about cross border attacks and the presence of armed groups inside Afghanistan.
