Laghman Province, Afghanistan – 27 February 2026 – According to reports, at noon today, Pakistan’s jet aircraft carried out targeted airstrikes on farmland in the Gambiray area of Laghman to neutralize positions held by terrorist groups threatening the security of border regions.

The operation also targeted the Fifth Border Battalion in Goshta District and areas connected to Nari District in Kunar Province. Pakistani security forces conducted the strikes with precision and caution to minimize civilian casualties.

Pakistani officials emphasized that these attacks were carried out in response to ongoing threats from terrorist groups based in Afghanistan, with the aim of protecting the lives and property of Pakistani citizens and ensuring the security of border areas.
